Parenting Mobile

The Parenting Mobile is a fully-equipped mobile classroom that visits neighborhoods on a regular basis with advice for parents on problems they are having with their kids, information about upcoming parenting classes and workshops or just a friendly ear to listen. In each target neighborhood, parents, caregivers and young children 0-5 can attend a weekly early learning program. Developmental education is presented and parents have the opportunity to learn ways to enhance their child’s development and build supports with other parents in their community. All services are free.

Parenting Mobile Schedule
Please visit the van to see our resources, receive information about parenting or about community resources, schedule an appointment with our parent educator, or offer suggestions to help this program grow. Children are welcome to play with toys or enjoy a book while parents are in consultation or viewing a video.

Church of the Incarnation - Every Tuesday 10 am to 12 noon
Blue Ridge Commons - Every Thursday 12:30 to 2 pm
Southwood - Every Wednesday and Friday 10 am to 12 noon
Friendship Court - Every Thursday 11 - 12:30 pm

Session dates and times are subject to change due to vehicle maintenance, inclement weather, or other barriers.

Parent Educators are also available for individual consultation by appointment. These educators can bring materials to your home, give one-on-one guidance, or help work through a problem with you and your family.
